| Course Description |
Scouts learn basics of birding in hands-on applications. Learn how to use binoculars and discover local birds. Learn how to use a bird guide and learn a few bird songs |
| Who can participate? | Current members of the Boy Scouts of America. Registration limited to 15 scouts. |

| Cost | Program fee of $12.00 per scout - non-refundable |
| Helpful Preparation | Scouts should mail a blue card signed by Scoutmaster to the registar. Scouts should read the following:
Bird Study Merit Badge pamphlet, 2019 edition, Printed copy of the Bird Study workbook - June 2020 edition Prerequisite #8 completed, bring the object or picture of your project as proof. |

| Arrival | Plan to arrive 10 minutes early, late arrivals disrupt the workshop. |
| Attire | Scouts will be indoors and outdoors, please wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Lunch, snacks, a water bottle, insect repellant and binoculars if desired. |
| Parents and Siblings | Parents and siblings are welcome if they do not impact the program. Sometimes, parents can assist the Counselor |
| Weather | In the unlikely event that a program is canceled, scouts will be notified. |
